The Assessment Team (A-Team), a sub-committee of the Assessment Research Group, provides ground-level support to faculty throughout all stages of the assessment process, including:

  • Creating and interpreting curriculum maps
  • Creating and implementing assessment plans
  • Reporting on assessment activities
  • Developing proposals for the Assessment Research Grants
  • Revising and updating PLOs
  • Connecting to other campus resources

The A-Team works year-round and their goal is to make this process as meaningful and as painless as possible for you. The A-Team understands that each program on campus is unique, with its own culture and needs, and they can help you develop and implement an assessment plan that will work for you. Dr. Amanda Brey

Dr. Brey has an EdD in Leadership for Change with a research focus on educational policy and assessment from Fielding Graduate University, a BA in Sociology from UCSB and a MS from Cal Lutheran in Guidance and Counseling. With a passion for higher education and almost fifteen years of higher education administration experience, both private and public, Amanda serves UCSB's assessment efforts across campus in both academics and student affairs. She is committed to working campus-wide on systematic assessment that informs, improves, and highlights teaching and learning and educational effectiveness.
